CINCINNATI - Crab Cake Recipe from de Sha's American Tavern & Grille

Ingredients:
1 pound Crabmeat, liquid drained
1 rib Celery fine diced
1 tablespoon Yellow Onion, fine diced
¼ teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
½ teaspoon Whole Celery Seed
1 Egg, whisked
¼ cup Mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
¼ cup Panko Bread Crumbs

Prep Method:
• Combine all the ingredients except for the crabmeat and the bread crumbs. Mix well.
• Gently fold in the crabmeat and the panko crumbs.
• Form into crab cakes.
• Sear in a hot sauté pan with a small amount of vegetable oil, on both sides to a golden brown.

Remoulade Sauce

Ingredients:
1 cup Mayonnaise
2 T. Pickle Relish
1 T. Yellow Onions, minced
1 T. Capers, minced
2 t. Ketchup
½ T. Fresh Lemon Juice
Kosher Salt
Black Pepper

Prep Method

• Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.

Vegetable Slaw

Ingredients:
1 Zucchini, julienne
1 Yellow Squash, julienne
1 Carrots, julienne
1/2 cup Broccoli Florets
1/4 cup Red Pepper, julienne
1 Green Onions, sliced
1/4 cup Remoulade Sauce

Prep Method:
• In a large bowl add all the vegetables and mix well.
• Add enough remoulade to coat and mix well.
• Season with salt and pepper.
• Serve with crab cakes.
